| W3MRC is the Amateur radio callsign for the 3M Amateur
Radio Club. Formally K9MBB until about 1998 when vanity callsigns became
available. The club station is located in North Austin at the 3M
Center just off FM2222 near Riverplace Blvd. The address is 6801
Riverplace Blvd. Austin Texas 78726. The club has it's own radio room
within the 3M facility with a variety of amateur radio gear ranging from 80
meter HF to UHF including a VHF & UHF repeater system. Also located here is
the packet radio digipeater "AUSRLY-1" used for the Travis County Amateur
Radio Emergency Service. TCARES. Any visitors are welcome to to stop by
and visit the station. Wednesdays are best for visiting because of the
Wednesday night HF nets being held on those days. Visitors are also
welcomed to operate the Wednesday evening nets as well. Contact any of
the club officers if you wish to visit the
station.

W3MRC Monthly
Meetings.
The 3M Radio Club also has regular scheduled club meetings on the 2nd
Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM. The meetings are now held at Denny's
Restraint on
US 183 and Lakeline BLVD in South Cedar Park near Lakeline Mall. Here is a

to the location. The meetings are
generally followed by a program of interest to amateurs. You do not need to be
a member of the club to attend the meetings. You may also bring family members and/or friends along
with you.
